This & That

1. Emma thought maybe her dad - Poppa as she calls him - got her a dog souvenir from San Francisco. I said a stuffed dog was a good possibility. Emma said no, a real dog!

2. Bought a new Clinique lipstick to brighten up my winter lips. As I gave Chic Honey by Clinique a whirl, Emma tells me my lips look the same. I hate to admit it, but I agree. Ugh.

3. Back to the cosmetics department with Emma..she spies a photo of a model with smokey eyes and exclaims, "Mommy, that woman looks like a zombie." (Emma may try to look like a zombie when she is a grown up too)

4. As a TGIF treat for the kids, I got a dozen Dunkin Doughnuts. I included every football-shaped, heart sprinkled, heart-shaped doughnut I could find. The guy behind the counter told me it was quite a selection. I told him the kids will love them and they did.

5. I relish in an instance of serendipity. As I opened up a book of quotes I received recently, the page had a quote from Joe Paterno. And, while Grace was researching Marie Curie for a project, she discovered Ms. Curie died on her birthday - July 4th. Last, I visited a school where I know only two students. As I got out of my car on the quiet campus, I immediately bumped into one of the students I know. (spooky bones!}
